Mrs E.D. Peachey's Raisin Filled cookies

List of Ingredients




Filling:
1 box raisins ground up
Juice 1 lemon
2 cups brown sugar
2 tbs flour
1/2 cup water
boil til thick then cool

Recipe



Dough
2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp soda
1 cup lard [scant]
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tsp cream of tartar

Add enough flour to make this stiff.

Roll thin, cut in circles and place on cookie sheet. Put filling on each and place another cookie on top. Bake in a moderate oven.
