    Strawberry and Rhubarb Pie

    List of Ingredients

    Strawberry and Rhubarb Pie

    1 1/4 cups sugar
    1/8 tsp salt
    1/3 cup flour
    2 cups fresh strawberries
    2 cups fresh rhubarb, cut into 1 inch pieces
    2 tblsp butter or margarine
    1 tblsp white sugar
    Pastry for 2 crust pie

    Recipe


    Combine 1 1/4 cups sugar, salt and flour. Arrange half of the strawberries and rhubarb in a pastry lined 9 inch pie pan. Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining fruit and sugar mixture. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust and flute edges to make a high standing rim. Brush top crust with cold water and sprinkle on 1 tblsp sugar. Cut steam vents in top crust. Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until rhubarb is tender and crust is brown
