    Stewed Mushrooms

    Stewed Mushrooms

    10-12 medium-to-large button mushrooms
    2 c. beef broth or prepared bouillon
    onion salt or onion powder, to taste
    2 tsp. butter
    garlic, if desired

    Wash mushrooms. [You can choose to remove the stems and cut these for
    use in salad or soup, or leave the stems on.] Slice. [If you have
    small button mushrooms, you can leave these whole.] Put all
    ingredients in a saucepan. The liquid should cover the mushrooms.
    Bring to a simmer, and let it cook slowly for 15 or 20 minutes.
    Mushrooms will be brown from the broth, and have a wonderful aroma.
    Serve hot.
