- 6 thin slices round steak or tenderloin, about 2 oz each
- 2-3 TBS olive oil
- 1 1/4 c fresh porcini or baby portobello mushrooms
- 1/4 c flour
- 3/4 c Marsala wine
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a small pan, saute the mushrooms in a bit of olive oil or butter over medium heat to soften, about 5-8 minutes and set aside
- f you use roand steak you may have to pound it to make it nice and thin.
- Heat the olive oil in roomy pan. Dust the meat with the flour; shake off excess.
- Add to the pan and cook on both sides until done, about 3 minutes per side.
- Add the wine and let cook just until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Add the salt, pepper and mushrooms and stir gently.
- Add a little beef or vegatable broth if the sauce gets too thick.
