    My husband asked me to write this one down because he was afraid I might not be able to recreate it.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1C Dry mixed beans (lentils, black, pinto, whatever)
    • 3C Chicken broth
    • 2C Water
    • 1/2C Chopped fennel
    • 1/2C Chopped carrots
    • 1 12oz can tomato sauce
    • 1 6oz can tomato paste
    • 2 Cloves garlic, chopped
    • 2Tbs Chopped fresh rosemary
    • 1tsp Cilantro
    • 1tsp Ground ginger
    • 1tsp Liquid smoke
    • 2Tbs Worchestershire sauce (or to taste)
    • 1tsp Sea salt
    • Pepper to taste
    • 1 Bay leaf
    • 2 Green onions chopped
    • 2Tbs Chopped espazote (the flatulence stopping herb)
    • 1lb ground, cooked Elk
    • grated cheese to taste


    Instructions


    1. Soak beans in 8C water overnight. Drain, rinse, and place in crock pot.
    2. Add all remaining ingredients (you can change to herbs depending on what you have, or what you like)except cheese. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
    3. Add cheese, and serve.
