    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 cups sugar
    • 1 cup butter
    • 4 eggs
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon almond extract


    Instructions


    1. Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, creaming well after each addition. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk; add alternately with flour to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and almond extracts and beat well.
    2. Pour into a greased 10" tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
