    Cinnamon Shortbread

    1 cup soft butter
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    2 1/2 cups sifted enriched flour
    1/4 cp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp lemon extract

    Recipe



    Cream butter and add sugars gradually. Add extracts and blend thoroughly. Add flour and cinnamon slowly and mix till you have a stiff dough that forms a ball. Do not over work. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
    Cut dough in half, roll out half of dough to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in slow oven @ 300 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown
    Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
