Apple Sauce Cake

1 (32-ounce) can applesauce
1/4 cup baking soda
1 cup of raisins
1 cup, plus 4 cups all-purose flour
1 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon coves
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 can crushed pineapple
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 small jar maraschino cherries
1 cup whole walnuts
Preheat oven to 275 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix applesauce with soda. In another separate bowl, combine raisins with 1 cup flour.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except cherries and walnuts; mix well. Pour batter into a large bunt pan. Top cake with cherries and walnuts. Bake two hours, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
