    Sauerkraut Frankfurter Casserole

    1 lb 3 oz can sauerkraut
    1/2 cup finely chopped onion
    6 frankfurters
    4 medium potatoes
    2 tab brown sugar
    1 tab butter, melted
    salt to taste
    paprika
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Place undrained sauerkraut in 3 qt baking dish
    Toss with onions and brown sugar
    Bury the franks in the sauerkraut
    Peel potatoes and cut in half lengthwise
    Arrange on top of the sauerkraut and franks
    Brush the potatoes with melted butter and sprinkle with salt & paprika
    Bake uncovered 20-30 minutes in a 425° oven
    Cover tightly and bake 30 minutes more or until potatoes are tender
