    List of Ingredients


    • ¼ cup minced onion
    • 2 tablespoons minced green pepper
    • ¼ cup butter or margarine, melted
    • 1 pound fresh lump crabmeat, drained
    • 1 ¼ cup soft breadcrumbs, divided
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • Dash of ground red pepper
    • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
    • Vegetable oil


    Instructions


    1. Cook onion and green pepper in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until tender.
    2. Remove from heat; stir in crabmeat, ¾ cup breadcrumbs, parsley and next 7 ingredients.
    3. Shape mixture into 8 patties and dredge patties in remaining bread crumbs.
    4. Pour oil to depth of ¼ inch into a large heavy skillet.
    5. Fry patties in hot oil over medium-high heat 3 minutes on each side, or until golden.
    6. Drain on paper towels.
