    Chewy Fudge Sauce

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup corn syrup
    1/4 cup hot water
    3 1-oz squares unsweeted chocolate
    1 Tbs butter or margarine
    1 cup sugar
    2 Tbs cornstarch
    1 tsp vanilla

    Recipe



    In a small saucepan, over high heat, heat corn syrup to boiling. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until syrup falls slowly into strands when dropped from the tip of a spoon. Remove from heat; stir in water. In another pan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Combine sugar and cornstarch and add to chocolate along with boiled syrup. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves and sauce boils. Cook 1 minute. Stir in vanilla.
    Serve warm over ice cream.
