    Carrots in Orange Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 8 sliced carrots
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 3 tablespoons flour
    • 1/4 cup orange juice
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
    • 1 1/4 cups boiling water


    Instructions


    1. Cook the carrots until just slightly crisp and set aside.
    2. In a saucepan, put the salt, sugar and flour.
    3. Gradually add the boiling water and cook over medium heat until thick.
    4. Remove from the heat.
    5. Add the orange and lemon juices, margarine and carrots.


    Final Comments


    Can be reheated to serve later. Makes 8 10 servings.
