Shake and Bake
Butter or Margerine
Paprika
3 medium onions
2 cups water
1 cup of chicken broth (I use chicken-in-a-mug)
1 cup cream
1/2 cup white wine (I use Le Piat D'or)
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
3 Tbsp flour
5 pieces of skinned chicken breasts
Recipe
Roll chicken pieces in the Shake and Bake mixture. Brown in a skillet in the melted butter. Place the browned chicken pieces in a roaster in a single layer. Top with slices of mushrooms and onions.
Melt butter in a skillet. Blend in 3 Tbsp flour. Add 2 cups of water, 1 cup of chicken broth and slowly stir in the cream. Add wine. Pour over the chicken and top with paprika.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
A Personal note: My family love this recipe. It is great to serve when you have company or in smaller portions for a romantic dinner. Enjoy!!
