Recipe Introduction

It's like all the banana split toppings in one (minus the chocolate). Very pretty to give as a gift in a glass jar. This could be served on cake, also, in lieu of frosting. We have served over ice cream, topped w/ cool whip and then a drizzle of chocolate ice cream syrup.

List of Ingredients

1-21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1-10 oz. jar of maraschino cherries (do not drain)
2-15 1/4 oz each cans of pineapple tidbits in juice
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. banana flavoring


Recipe

Add all but flavorings in sauce pan on stove over med heat and cook till heated through, 10 min. Remove from heat and add flavorings. Cool and store in airtight container in the
refrigerator. Makes 5 1/2 cups of topping
