Beef Teriyaki
Source of Recipe
I got the recipe from "Campbells Favorite Recipes"
Recipe Introduction
I made this last night, family liked it. It doesn't really have a strong "teriyaki" taste. More like your average Broccoli Beef from Chinese takeout.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, 3/4" thick (I used some cheaper thin sliced steak, and then I cut it into strips)
2 tb cornstarch
1 - 14oz can beef broth
2 tb soy sauce
1 tb packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp garlic powder
4 c. broccoli flowerets (I used frozen, and partially thawed)
4 c. hot cooked rice
Recipe
Slice beef into very thin strips. Mix cornstarch, broth, soy, sugar and garlic. Stir fry beef in nonstick skillet (I used my iron skillet and added a bit of olive oil) until browned and juices evaporate. Add broccoli and cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Serve over rice.
