    Three Cheese Baked Ziti

    Source of Recipe

    All Time Favorite Casseroles

    Recipe Introduction

Very easy and yummy. It basically tastes like a simple lasagna. I'm sure you could sneak in some ground beef and/or squeeze-dried chopped frozen spinach into the mixture.

    List of Ingredients

    1 - 15oz ricotta cheese
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1 - 16oz ziti pasta, cooked and drained
1 - 28 oz jar chunky gardenstyle pasta sauce (most of the containers I found weren't quite 28 oz, so I added a 4 oz can of tomato sauce and a sprinkle of italian seasoning)
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz)

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350*. In large bowl, combine ricotta, eggs and parmesan, set aside.

In the pan that you cooked the pasta in, combine pasta and spaghetti sauce.

In a sprayed 13x9" pan, spoon 1/2 of the pasta. Top with ricotta mixture. Top w/ remaining pasta. Sprinkle mozzarella over top. Bake 15 min. loosely covered, and then 15 min. more uncovered (actually the recipe just said "bake 30 min or until heated through"). Can serve w/ additional heated pasta sauce (I didn't, but since this isn't real "saucy"...if you like sauce, it would be a good idea). Makes 8 servings.
