Rice Pilaf
This came from a local church cookbook: St. Anne's Shrine in Sturbridge, MA. It's pretty basic, but then many of life's finest things are, after all. Enjoy!!!
1/2 cup orzo
1/4 cup butter
1 (13-1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
1 (13-1/2 oz.) can water
1 cup long cooking rice
1 tsp. salt
Brown 1/2 cup orzo in 1/4 cup butter. Add 1 can chicken broth, 1 can water, 1 cup long cooking rice and 1 teaspoon salt. Cover and simmer until all the broth is absorbed, about 25 minutes.
