    List of Ingredients


    • 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 cup unsifted flour
    • 3 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 packet active dry yeast
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup margarine (2 sticks)


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl throughly mix 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast.


    2. Combine milk, water and margarine in a saucepan.


    3. Heat over low heat until liquids are very warm (120F-130F).


    4. Margarine does not have to melt.


    5. Gruadually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed with electric mixter, scraping bowl occasionally.


    6. Stir in enough additional flour to make a soft dough.


    7. Turn out onto a lightly floured board.


    8. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 15 minutes.


    9. Place in greased bowl, turning dough to greased top.


    10. Cover; place bowl in pan of water of about 99 deg F.


    11. Let rise 15 minutes.


    12. Turn dough out onto floured board.


    13. Divide in half and shape as lucky clovers.


    14. Cover, let rise in warm place (about 190F) 15 minutes.


    15. Bake at 450 degrees for about 12 minutes or until done.


    16. Remove from baking sheet and cool on wire rack.
