    Never Ever Fail Meringue

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoon cold water
    • 1/2 cup boiling water
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 3 egg whites
    • 6 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 pinch salt


    Instructions


    1. Blend cornstarch and cold water in saucepan.


    2. Add boiling water and cook until thick and clear.


    3. Cool completely.


    4. Beat egg whites until foamy.


    5. Gradually beat in sugar, beating until stiff and glossy.


    6. Add salt and vanilla and slowly beat in cold cornstarch mixture.


    7. Beat quickly for several minutes.


    8. Spread meringue on filled, hot 9" pie.


    9. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
