    Stove Top Mac & Cheese

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups elbow macaroni
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 2 cups half and half (warmed)
    • 2 cups shredded cheese
    • salt


    Instructions


    1. In large sauce pan of boiling and salted water, cook macaroni until tender. Drain into colander.


    2. In small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

      Whisk in flour and cook 1 min.


    3. Gruadually whisk in warmed half and half and cook, whisking constantly until mixture is hot and thick, about 4 minutes.


    4. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.


    5. Stir into cooked macaroni and season to taste with salt.
