- 2 1/3 C. Flour
- 1 1/3 C. sugar
- 3/4 t. salt
- 3/4 C. Crisco
- 2 T. baking powder
- 3/4 C. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 C. lemon juice
- 2 t. cinnamon, divided
- 1 (29 oz) can sliced peaches, well drained and chopped or 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- 1 C. chopped nuts, divided
- 1/3 C. firmly packed brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In large bowl combine flour, sugar and salt
- Cut in shortening until crumbly. Reserve 1 C. crumb mixture.
- To remaining crumb mixture, add baking powder, milk, eggs and vanilla. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes.
- Spread into greased 9X13 pan. Bake 25 minutes or until set.
- In small bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in condensed milk, stir in lemon juice and peaches/apples, 1/2 C. nuts and 1 t. cinnamon.
- In medium bowl, combine reserved crumb mixture, remaining 1/2 C. nuts, 1 t. cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Spoon peach/apple mixture evenly on top of cake.
- Sprinkle with crumb mixture.
- Bake 35 minutes or until set.
- Cool or serve warm.
