ANGEL CAKE, PETAL PINK

Served at Angela's wedding shower.
List of Ingredients
- 1 pkg. angel food cake mix
- 3/4 t. almond extract
- red food coloring
- 1/4 C. sliced natural almonds
- fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Prepare cake batter. Fold in 1/2 t. almond extract.
- Place 3 C. batter in medium bowl. Fold in 3 drops red food coloring.
- Spoon half the white batter into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
- Cover with pink batter then top with remaining white batter.
- Bake and cool cake following package directions.
- Frosting:
- 9 oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed.
- Fold in 1/4 t.almond extract and 3 drops red food coloring.
- Stir lightly until blended. Frost cake. Garnish with almonds and raspberries.
