BEEF, ITALIAN POT ROAST

List of Ingredients
- 4-5 pound beef blade roast
- 2 T. cooking oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 t. salt
- 1 t. Italian seasonings
- 1/8 t. pepper
- 1/3 pound fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/2 C. red wine
Instructions
- Brown beef in cooking fat in large frying pan.
- Pour off all but 1 T. drippings. Remove meat add onion and garlic to drippings and lightly brown.
- Return meat to pan; sprinkle each side with salt, Italian seasoning and pepper.
- Add mushrooms, tomato sauce and wine.
- (If needed, more red wine or liquid from mushrooms may be added during cooking)
- Remove bones from meat and serve meat & sauce with noodles or spaghetti if desired.
