    Bruce and Beth's Polish Pockets

    Source of Recipe

Lt. Comm. Bruce Schulthess, brother and exNavy pilot

    Recipe Introduction

My brother and his wife were stationed in Maine and sent us this recipe for a slightly sloppy, but very tasty sandwich.
They now live in Mn. and fly for Northwest and still make these.

    List of Ingredients

    1 package Kielbasa sausage, sliced
    1 onion chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 T. butter
    1 large can of saurkraut
    1/2 pint sour cream
    2 T. dijon style mustard
    pita bread

    Recipe

Saute slices of kielbasa (I use Hillshire Farms) with 1/2 to 1 whole onion and 1 chopped green pepper in 2 T. butter.
Add 2 c. drained saurkraut. Heat through.
Then add: 1 cup sour cream mixed with 2 T. dijon stlye mustard.
    Serve in pita pockets. Yum!
