    I used a Rival Electric Ice Cream Maker model 8420 TP. I made 4 quarts.


    List of Ingredients




    1 cup heavy cream
    1 cup water
    2 eggs very well beaten (optional)
    Scald until bubbles form around edge. Remove from heat. Cool (covered) in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

    Add
    1 cup Splenda pourable form
    1/2 tsp. salt
    Stir until dissolved.

    Stir in
    6 cups heavy cream (cold from refrigerator)
    1 Tablespoons real vanilla extract

    Recipe




    Freeze as directed (in your ice cream maker).

    We found it creamy and sweet without being overly sweet. Mmmm, mmmmm!!

    It takes longer to cool down in the fridge than the time it takes to throw the rest of ingredients together before putting it in the freezer cup and freeze it in the ice cream maker.


    Joanne's note: If you wish to have eggs in your ice cream, be sure to bring the temperature of the scalded milk containing the eggs up to 170 degrees on a thermometer before cooling the mix. Eggs are frequently contaminated with Salmonella and the germ will die at that temperature.
