    Recipe Introduction

If you love cheese but have a problem tolerating dairy products that are derived from cow's milk, you may want to try Greek feta cheese that is made from sheep's milk or a combination of sheep and goats' milk.

A great way to enjoy Greek feta cheese is in a traditional Greek salad that includes feta, olives, leafy greens, fresh tomatoes, cucumber slices, and sweet red onion slices.

What follows is a simple and delicious Greek salad dressing recipe to go along with a classic Greek salad:

    Ingredients:

4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon feta (from sheep's or goats' milk, if possible)
    1 tablespoon chopped red onion
    1 teaspoon sea salt
    1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
    3 large basil leaves (fresh)

    Directions:

    Blend all ingredients until smooth.

This classic Greek salad dressing is best served over a mix of greens, tomatoes, cucumber, sliced red onions, olives, and feta cheese.

Keeps for about 3 days in an air-tight jar in the refrigerator.
