    Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon
    4 c. pecan halves or walnuts
    2t. sea salt
    water

    Mix pecans with salt and water and leave in warm place for at least 7 hrs. or overnight. Drain in a colander. Spread pecans on a cookie sheet in a warm oven (no more than 150 degrees) for 12-24 hrs., turning occasionally, until completely dry and crisp. Store in an airtight container.
