    Use a crockpot and come back 8-10 hours later to
    flavorful chili, ready-to-eat.


    List of Ingredients




    2 pounds ground beef
    1 clove (the whole bunch) garlic, crushed and peeled, then
    diced
    1 large onion, chopped, medium
    1 pkg. Chili Seasoning Mix
    1 Tablespoon chili powder
    1 cup water
    2 cans stewed tomatoes--Mexican style if available
    1 can (15-oz) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    1 can (15-oz) Red Kidney Beans, rinsed and drained
    1 can (4-oz) Ortega diced chilies
    1 firm green jalapeno chili, about 4 inches, peeled and
    sliced across the width of the chili --but, only if you like
    it hot!

    Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Mix in the
    chili seasoning just enough to mix well. Put beef mixture
    into slow cooker, then add all other ingredients. Cook on
    low for 8-10 hours. 10 servings

    Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese, or with dollops of
    sour cream.
