    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 pounds green beans
    1/2 cup slivered almonds -- or sliced
    2 cloves garlic -- minced
    1/2 stick butter
    Salt and pepper -- to taste

    Recipe



    Blanch or steam green beans until fork-tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Put
    them in
    an ice bath to stop the cooking.

    Melt butter in skillet. Lightly sauté almonds for about 2 minutes,
    being careful not to burn them.

    Add garlic and beans and toss to coat. Cook for 2 minutes and serve
    hot.
