Grandma's Baked Chicken
chicken pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
celery, chopped (optional)
salt / pepper
flour
Chop onion and celery and place in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place chicken pieces, skin side up, on top of chopped onions. Salt and pepper chicken pieces. Lightly sprinkle chicken with flour. Bake at 450 for one half hour then reduce heat to 350 and bake loosely covered with foil. Turn chicken pieces several times while baking. Bake about 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil at the end of the baking time, if desired and with the skin side up bake until lightly browned.
