    Sausage Bean Chowder

    List of Ingredients





    1 pound sausage
    1 can light red kidney beans
    1 -28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
    2 cups water
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 cups diced potatoes
    1/4 cup chopped green pepper

    Cook sausage until browned. Drain well. In a large kettle or crock pot combine all other ingredients as well as sausage. Cook in kettle for about one hour or in crock pot for 4 hours or longer on low.
