the best sugar cookie and frosting recipe.


List of Ingredients




1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Frosting:
1 c. Crisco (must be Crisco)
1/2 c. water with 1/8 tsp of salt dissolved
1 (2lb) bag of powdered sugar
Mix well with mixer and add desired food coloring.

Recipe



Cream together shortening, butter, sugar. Add eggs, mix add vanilla, flour, soda, and cream of tartar. Chill 2 to three hours. Roll out to 1/8 inch and cut out with cookie cutters. on ungreased cookie sheet Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
