1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 ½ c. flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal
½ c. nuts, chopped



Recipe



Cream sugars, shortening and vanilla, Add eggs. Mix soda, flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon; stir in. Fold in oatmeal and nut meats. Shape into balls and roll in sugars. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 10-15 minutes Yields: 5 dozen.
