    Beer Cheese Dip

    List of Ingredients

    1 clove garlic, peeled
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 can beer
    6 c. shreddred mild cheddar cheese

    Assorted dippers: bread cubes, ham cubes, green onions, assorted crackers

    small green onion, chopped


    Recipe

    Rub inside 3 qt. sauce pan w/ cut sides of garlic. throw garlic away. Add butter to saucepan. Melt over low heat. Stir in flour. Cook 2 min. stirring constantly. Stir in beer. Increase heat to meduim heat. Heat to boiling.

    Boil 2 to 3 minutes stirring constantly until thick ans smooth.

    Reduce heat to low. Add cheese 1/2 c. stirring til melted and mixture is smooth.

    Transfer to a fondue pot or small crock pot
