    List of Ingredients


    • 5 pounds ground beef
    • 1 medium onion minced
    • 2 stalks celery minced
    • 2 medium carrots, minced
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 cup oats
    • 1/2 cup catsup
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
    • Tabasco sauce, to taste
    • Worcestershire sauce, to taste
    • Equal parts Catsup and maple syrup, mixed, for glaze


    Instructions


    1. Preheat ofven to 350 degrees F.
    2. Mix all ingredients well, by hand. Place in a baking dish in a rectangular shape. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.
    3. Cool slightly and coat with a thin layer of catsup and maple syrup mixture. Raise oven temperature to 400 degrees F. and bake for an additional 10 minutes or longer until glaze is formed.
    4. Slice and serve with a pan gravy made from the drippings, an ounce of butter, a pint of beef broth, 4 ounces of whipping cream, a splash of red wine and sauteed mushrooms.
