    Sumi Salad

    A friend made this once and had to pass the recipe around. It is a change of pace from the regular potato and noodle salads of the summer.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pkg cole slaw
    • 2 pkgs. Ramen chicken noodles (crumbled)
    • 6-8 tablespoons rice vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons oil (for browning)
    • 3 scallions
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 large package slivered almonds
    • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
    • salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, combine cole slaw, scallions, noodles, seasoning that comes with the noodles, 1/2 cup oil, vinegar, and sugar. Set aside
    2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil and brown almonds and sesame seeds. Then pour oil, almonds and sesame seeds over cabbage mixture. Toss and let sit in refrigerator for 4-5 hours.
