    List of Ingredients


    • 4 tablespoon butter
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 4 cup sliced peaches
    • dash salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 2 cups boiling water
    • Dumpling to follow:
    • 1 1/2 cups sifted self-rising flour
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk


    Instructions


    1. combine butter, sugar, peaches, salt, cinnamon, boiling water in deep pan - bring to boil reduce heat cooking for 5 minutes
    2. Blend self rising flour with sugar cut butter in; stir in milk enought to form a soft ball. stir only until mixture is blended
    3. Drop by spoonfuls into the sauce.
    4. Cook uncovered 5 minutes then cover and steam 15 to 20 minutes
