    Old Fashioned Coffee Cake

    This is a quick and easy coffee cake. It's a great cake to make for company, PTA events or take along when visiting friends and relatives.

    List of Ingredients




    TOPPING: 1 cup all purpose flour
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    CAKE:
    1 cup soft butter
    3/4 cup light brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/3 cup non fat milk



    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 9x13 inch baking pan. In a latge mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar using an electric mixer. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well. In a seperate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Add this dry ingredients to the batter a little bit at a time alternateing with the milk. Mix well. Spoon the batter into your 9x13 inch pan.
    In a seperate bowl make your topping by combining the flour with brown sugar and butter. Next add the cinnamon. Use a pastry blender to work the mixture into a fine crumb consistency. Sprinkle the topping over the batter in your 9x13 inch pan. bake in 325 degree oven for approximately 50 minutes. Cool before serving.
