    Simple Donuts

    Source of Recipe

    Annie Glick

    Recipe Introduction

I first had these homemade donuts at an Amish frolic. So good! I was surprised how easy and simple they are to make.

    List of Ingredients

    2 eggs
    1 cup milk
    5 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 cup sugar
    4 cups flour
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe

Beat the eggs and sugar together until light, then add milk and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to the wet mix. Roll this big doughy mess out to a 1/4 inch thickness on a floured board. Cut into donut shape and fry in 380 degree deep oil on each side for about 3 mins. or until nicely browned. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Eat plain or sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar, Enjoy!
