    A simple fruit dessert to top off a good hearty dinner.

    List of Ingredients




    6 fresh pears
    1/2 cup raisins
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup brandy
    1/2 cup marsala wine
    1/2 cup of cookie crumbs ( Your choice: Graham crackers, oatmeal, molasses or macaroons)
    whipped cream (optional)

    Recipe



    Peel and core the pears. Cut the pears into thin slices and place in a bowl and set aside. In a seperate bowl, combine the raisins and sugar and set aside.
    Layer alternately the pear slices & raisin mixture in your crockpot. Pour the brandy & wine over the top. Cover and cook on low 4 to 5 hrs. When ready to serve, spoon into dessert plates, and top with cookie crumbs.
    If using the optional whipped cream, I add that after topping the fruit with the cookie crumbs and then add another sprinkle of cookie crumbs on top of the whipped cream. Enjoy!
