    A great dish for family buffets & picnics.

    List of Ingredients




    4 greenbell peppers, seeded and cut into strips
    1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
    1 yellow or orange bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
    12 hot, mild or a mixture of both Italian sausages ( cut into bite sized pieces)
    1/4 cup of olive oil
    6 cloves garlic, minced
    1 cup of your favorite tomato sauce
    1/4 cup water
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning
    Toasted buns or hoagie rolls for sandwiches

    Recipe



    Heat olive oil in saute pan and add the peppers. Cook till tender. Add the onions & garlic and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Combine the tomato sauce and water and stir that into the pepper mixture. Remove from heat and set aside.
    In seperate pan add additional olive oil and sausage pieces. Cook the sausage until well browned & cooked well. Remove the cooked sausage and add it to the pan of peppers, onion & garlic. Return to the stove and simmer covered for 10 minutes more. Serve on sandwiches or with a dish of pasta or steamed rice. Enjoy!
