Sour Cream and Chive Bread

Recipe Introduction
This is a good bread to have with the Mexican Manicotti
List of Ingredients
- 2/3 cup warm milk (70-80 degrees)
- 1/4 cup warm water (70-80 degrees)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup minced chives
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
Instructions
- If own a bread machine follow directions of loading ingredients.
- If doing by hand place yeast and sugar with water until bubbly and mix all ingredients together.
- Knead until completely mixed. Let rise, about 1 1/2 hours, punch down knead again and put into greased bread pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees until hollow sound when thumped and golden brown.
- Turn out onto wire rack and let cool.
