    Recipe Introduction


    This sauce can be frozen and used in several types of dishes. "Speedy Spaghetti", Time-Saving Tacos", and
    "Lasagnas"


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 pounds ground beef
    • 4 medium onions, chopped
    • 5 celery ribs, thinly sliced
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 3 cans (28 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
    • 2 jars (4 1/2 ounces each) sliced mushrooms or use fresh
    • 2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
    • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
    • 1 tbsp salt
    • 2 tsp dried oregano
    • 2 tsp dried basil
    • 1tsp pepper
    • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes


    Instructions


    1. In a dutch oven over medium high heat, cook beef, onions, celery, and garlic until meat is no longer pink
      and vegetables anre tender; drain.
    2. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    3. Stir occasionally. Cool. Transfer to freezer bags or containers, about 2 cups each.
    4. May be frozen for up to 3 months.
    5. Yields about 15 cups total
