WW Baked French Toast with Apples

    Source of Recipe

    Recipe Introduction

This recipe is very good and just as good heated up the 2nd day!

    List of Ingredients

    2 eggs
    1/2 c. fat-free milk
    3 T. brown sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
4 slices whole wheat bread, cubed
    2 small apples
    3 T. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. reduced calorie margarine

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray small to medium size casserole pan with nonstick cooking spray. In medium bowl, lightly beat the eggs - blend in the milk, 1 T. of brown sugar and 1 tsp. of the cinnamon. Add the bread cubes and apples, stirring gently. Let stand until the bread absorbs all the liquid, 2 to 3 minutes.

To make the topping, in a small bowl, combine with a fork the flour, remaining 2 T. brown sugar, margarine and remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.

Pour bread mixture in casserole pan. Sprinkle with the topping. BAke until golden brown 35 - 40 minutes. Cool slightly and serve warm.

    Makes 4 servings
    Points per serving: 4

Tips: I used Egg Beaters, Splenda Brown Sugar and Village Hearth Lite Bread, which should make this recipe less points per serving.
