    HASH BROWN CASSEROLE

    List of Ingredients




    CRACKER BARREL RECIPE

    3 pound bag frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, not thawed
    1/2 pound melted margarine or butter
    1.5 pounds shredded Colby cheese
    15 ounce can Cream of Chicken soup, any brand, condensed
    1 Tbs salt
    1/2 tbs black pepper
    1/4 cup diced onion




    Recipe



    Combine all of the ingredients together thoroughly. Spread no thicker than 2 inches into the pans. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.

    Note: You may adjust the quantities of all the ingredients to suit your taste. This makes a very large batch of casserole. The rule is 2 to 1, potatoes to cheese. The soup is used to flavor the casserole. Taste the mixture as you are making it to decide what you like. Also, if the soup you choose has a great deal of salt in it, lessen the amount of salt you add.
