    6 large eggs
    1/2 cup sugar
    4 cups milk, divided
    1 cup bourbon
    1/2 cup rum
    1/2 cup apple-flavored brandy
    1/2 gallon French vanilla ice cream, softened
    freshly grated nutmeg

    Recipe



    Beat eggs at medium speed until foamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Combine egg mixture and 2 cups milk in medium saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk, until mixture reaches 160 degrees. Remove from heat and let cool. Stir in remaining 2 cups milk. Cover and chill thoroughly. Gently stir in bourbon, rum and apple brandy. Stir in ice cream just before serving. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
