    This is delicious, easy and great as a gift for new neihbors or as a thank you.


    List of Ingredients




    1 cup milk
    1/2 cup honey
    1/2 cup butter, no substitutes
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbs. yeast (3 envelopes)
    1/2 cup warm water (90-105 degrees)
    2 eggs, beaten
    5 cups flour
    1 cup golden raisins
    1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

    Recipe



    Warm milk on stove. Add honey, butter and salt. Stir until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in water and let sit for 10 minutes. Stir in milk mixture, eggs and 2 cups flour. Stir by hand until smooth. Add remaining flour, gradually, until a stiff dough is formed. Cover and let rise until doubled, 1 houe. Stir down dough. Add raisins and pecans, stirring well to incorporate. Turn into two greased 9x5 inch loaf pans.
    Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn out onto wire racks imediately.
