    Karo syrup bottle

    List of Ingredients




    1 unbaked 9 - inch pastry shell
    3 eggs
    1 cup dark corn syrup
    1 cup sugar
    2 T. margarine, melted
    1 t. vanilla
    1/8 t. salt
    1 cup pecans

    Recipe



    Beat eggs slightly. Mix in next five ingredients, then nuts. Pour into unbaked shell. Bake in 400 degree oven 15 minutes. Set oven temperature control at 350 degrees; continue baking 30-35 minutes. (Filling should be slightly less set in center than around edges. ) Also, the pie will be quite dark brown on top. You can cut the sugar to 3/4 and add a little more Karo to make it fuller.
