    2 cup cake flour, sifted
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    3 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup salad oil
    7 egg yolks, unbeaten
    3/4 cup cold water
    1 lg. mashed, sieved ripe banana
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 cup egg whites (7 or 8)
    1/2 tsp cream of tartar
    1/2 cup ground nuts




    Recipe



    Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Make a well in center. Add oil, egg yolks, water, banana and flavoring and ground nuts.

    Beat with spoon until smooth. Whip egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff then fold in egg yolk mixture. Pour into ungreased tube pan.

    Bake in 325 degree oven for 45 to 55 minutes, if necessary. Leave in 10 minutes more in 350 degree oven.
