    1/4 cup butter

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1 Tbsp. lemon juice

    2 under ripe bananas, halved lengthwise

    1/4 cup rum or brandy for flambe (optional)









    Recipe



    Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; add sugar and lemon juice. Heat slowly until sugar dissolves.

    Add bananas and glaze for 10 minutes. Serve warm with the flambe or with whipped cream.

    If desired, turn off burner and add 1/4 cup of rum or brandy to the pan and light.
